Having been founded in 1948, Building & Civil Engineering Co. Ltd (BCE) is the oldest construction company in Mauritius. Ever since its creation
, BCE has been awarded some of the most prestigious construction projects both in Mauritus and in Rodrigues, among which the National Assembly, the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) offices in Curepipe and the Plaine-Corail landing strip in Rodrigues.
BCE obtained its Grade A Contractor registration in May 1998
After almost 60 years of management by the Dalais family, a group of business people bought 76% of the shares and took over the mananegent of BCE as from
September 2007.
